Yes, you can make a deal at a GGPoker final table. Once the field is in the money and seat selection is done, any player can press the Deal button. The game pauses and the client shows an ICM (Independent Chip Model) split of the remaining prize money based on current chip stacks. The deal only goes through if every player at the table accepts. This is set out on GGPoker’s official Final Table Features page (checked October 2026).

The same feature runs on every GGNetwork skin, including Natural8, the network’s Asia-facing room. Below is how the button works, how the money is worked out, and which tournaments don’t allow deals at all.

Can you make a deal on GGPoker?

GGPoker allows final-table deals in most real-money tournaments, but only once two conditions are met. You must be in the money and at the final table, and the Deal Making option (GGPoker also calls it “ICM Deal”) only appears after seat selection is complete. You can’t propose a deal on the bubble or at a two-table stage.

GGPoker’s Final Table Features, including deals, do not apply to freerolls, satellites or T$ Builder tournaments. A satellite pays identical seats anyway, so there is nothing to split.

How do I propose or accept a deal on GGPoker?

Press the Deal button on the final table to open the agreement pop-up. Natural8’s final table guide puts the button in the top-right corner of the table screen. When all players have pressed Deal, the game pauses and every player sees the proposed payout.

  • Changed your mind? Press the button again and choose “Cancel Deal Agreement” (Natural8 labels it “Cancel Deal Reservation”).
  • One “no” ends it. The deal is completed only when every remaining player agrees to the distribution shown.
  • Seat selection comes first. Each player gets 10 seconds to pick a seat, shortest stack first and chip leader last. Deal Making unlocks after that.

How does GGPoker calculate the deal?

GGPoker calculates every final-table deal with ICM. The model looks only at chip stacks and the remaining pay jumps. It works out each player’s chance of finishing in each paying position and turns that into a cash value. It ignores skill, blind level and who is next to act.

Natural8’s guide to making tournament deals uses a four-handed example with a $25,000 prize pool ($10,000 / $6,000 / $5,000 / $4,000) and stacks of 5,000, 2,600, 1,600 and 800 chips:

Stack Chip chop ICM deal
5,000 $12,500 $7,777.54
2,600 $6,500 $6,505.86
1,600 $4,000 $5,770.04
800 $2,000 $4,946.56

PSR re-ran the ICM figures and they match. The table shows why online rooms use ICM: a straight chip chop would pay the chip leader more than first place and the short stack less than fourth place, which is impossible if the players simply played on.

Is an ICM deal fair to the chip leader?

An ICM deal favours short stacks and costs the chip leader, compared with a chip chop. In the example above, the leader holds 50% of the chips but takes about 31% of the money. That is the mathematically “fair” value of a stack in a flat payout structure, but it doesn’t price in an edge. A big stack with a skill advantage often does better by playing on.

The GGPoker client only offers the ICM split. There is no in-client option for an equal chop or a custom number. If the leader wants more than ICM, the only real lever is to refuse the deal.

What happens after a deal is made?

Once a deal is agreed, the prize money is paid to each player’s account and normal play resumes. The remaining hands decide the final finishing order, which GGPoker uses for Tournament Points (TP). Your cash is locked in, but the finishing positions still count for TP.

The official pages don’t say how a deal treats bounties in PKO or Mystery Bounty events. If that matters to you, ask support before you press the button. Our PKO guide explains how progressive bounties are paid.

Which GGPoker tournaments don’t allow deals?

Deals are banned at the final table of select tournaments, including the GGMillion$ High Roller. GGPoker’s Security & Ecology Policy (version 20260313), section 18.2, says users are “strictly prohibited from making deals, including off-client deals, at the Final Table of select tournaments”. Breaches can lead to a warning, suspension, permanent ban or confiscation of funds (section 18.3).

That matters in Asia because GGMillion$ final tables often fall in Asian evening hours. Our GGMillion$ guide covers the schedule. Add freerolls, satellites and T$ Builders (no Final Table Features), and the list of no-deal events is short but worth knowing before you plan a big score.

Can I use an ICM calculator while the deal is on screen?

Don’t. Section 2.2 of the same policy says “every decision made at the poker table should be made free of any external assistance”. Section 2.3 lists software, apps and websites as external assistance. The deal pop-up already shows each player’s ICM number. Study ICM away from the table, for example while reviewing hands in Natural8 or GGPoker after the session.

GGPoker deal making FAQ

Can you chop a tournament on GGPoker?

Yes. At the final table of most real-money tournaments, once seat selection is complete, any player can press the Deal button, and the prize pool is split by ICM if every player agrees.

Does everyone have to agree to a GGPoker deal?

Yes. The deal is completed only when all remaining players accept the ICM distribution shown on screen. One refusal and play continues as normal.

Can you do an equal chop on GGPoker?

Not in the client. GGPoker’s deal feature calculates the split with ICM from the current chip stacks, and its official pages describe no equal-chop or custom option.

Do you keep playing after a deal on GGPoker?

Yes. The prize money is credited, then normal play resumes to set the final rankings for Tournament Points.

Why can’t I see the Deal button?

Deal Making appears only at the final table, in the money, after seat selection. It never appears in freerolls, satellites or T$ Builder tournaments, and deals are prohibited at select events such as the GGMillion$ High Roller.

Does Natural8 have the same deal feature as GGPoker?

Yes. Natural8 is a GGNetwork skin and its final table guide describes the same ICM deal, with the Deal button in the top-right corner of the table.
