Wouter Beltz of the Netherlands won the APPT Championship Main Event at Okada Manila on Monday, October 19, 2026. He took home ₱11,902,000 and the APPT Shard Trophy after a heads-up deal with South Korea’s Sung Jin Yun. The ₱165,000 Main Event drew 479 entries and built a ₱68,286,240 prize pool, about ₱8.3 million more than the ₱60 million guarantee.

The Main Event closed out the 12-day APPT Championship festival, which ran from October 8 to 19 in Okada Manila’s Coral Lounge. Buy-in, guarantee and dates below are from PokerStars Live’s official APPT Manila Championship page (checked October 2026). Entries, payouts and the deal come from Somuchpoker’s live reporting.

How did Wouter Beltz win the APPT Championship Main Event?

Wouter Beltz won the APPT Championship Main Event by making a deal heads-up and then winning the money left on the table. Somuchpoker reports that Beltz and Sung Jin Yun agreed an ICM chop: Beltz locked up ₱9,902,000 and Yun ₱9,538,000. That left ₱2,000,000 and the trophy to play for. Beltz won the last pot, which brought his total to ₱11,902,000 (about USD 189,570). Yun finished second with ₱9,538,000.

The tournament ran from Day 1A on October 15 and Day 1B on October 16 to a final table on October 19, according to Somuchpoker’s event page. 71 places were paid.

Who made the APPT Championship Manila final table?

Asian players took six of the nine seats at the APPT Championship Manila final table: three from the Philippines and two more from South Korea besides Yun. Filipino regular William Ysmael finished sixth, a week after he came second in the APPT Open.

Did the ₱60 million guarantee hold?

Yes, the APPT Championship Main Event beat its ₱60 million guarantee comfortably. 479 entries at ₱165,000 produced a ₱68,286,240 prize pool, roughly 14% over the guarantee, so there was no overlay. The Main Event came after the larger-field APPT Open and APPT National, which we covered in our Liu and Asehan report, and the Super High Roller and Red Dragon results.

Who won the other APPT Championship Manila events on the final days?

South Korea’s Seungmook Jung won the APPT High Roller in Manila. He topped 107 entries for ₱4,920,000, and fellow Korean Dohwan Kim finished second with ₱3,170,000. Filipino player Marco Espela won the APPT Mini Championship for ₱941,960 from 179 entries. Japanese players took second, third and fourth in that event.

The side events on the last day went to Asian players. China’s Haoyuan Li won the ₱1 million GTD Ultrastack for ₱282,584, and Japan’s Kentaro Hori won the Last Chance High Roller Turbo for ₱1,158,160. Tadamasa Mori (Japan), John Tech and Martin Astorga (both Philippines) won the other side events.
