GGPoker will hand out $18 million in extra prizes across August, with $13 million attached to cash games and $5 million routed through the WSOP Online Bracelet Series. For Asian players the geography is the story: the operator has split its headline WSOP promotion into four continental competitions, and Asia Pacific is one of them.
The August Giveaway runs 1–31 August. The WSOP-linked portion runs longer, from 16 August to 29 September, tracking the bracelet series itself.
Where the $13 million actually sits
The cash-game half is the bigger number and the one regular grinders will feel first. GGPoker has earmarked $7.5 million for its world leaderboards, split unevenly across formats: $1.55 million each to Spin & Gold, Rush & Cash, Texas Hold’em and PLO, then $600,000 to All-In or Fold, $300,000 apiece to Short Deck and Mystery Battle Royale, and $150,000 to Flip & Go.
The remaining $5.5 million is spread thinner. Three million goes to GG’s signature drops — GGCare, GGCheers and Rush & Cash Friday. Another $1.5 million is ring-fenced for new accounts through the welcome bonus, Daily Freebie and the 30-mission Honeymoon ladder. The last $1 million covers tournament add-ons including Master Rise Reward, WSOP Express, a $100,000 weekly freeroll and GGMillion$.
Running alongside it, a $200,000 PLO Series leaderboard operates on a points basis across the Omaha tournament schedule from 2 to 17 August.
The continental split is the interesting part
Three million of the WSOP money sits in Continental Flipouts. Each time someone wins one of the 33 online bracelets, players from that winner’s continent get access to a Flipout worth up to $250,000 with no entry fee. The four regions are Americas, Europe, Eurasia and Asia Pacific — so a bracelet going to a player in Manila, Tokyo or Seoul unlocks a prize pool for everyone else in the region, not just the person who won it.
A further $1 million runs as a Country Competition over the same 16 August to 29 September window. GGPoker will rank nations by bracelet performance and open exclusive freerolls to the top ten. That structure rewards depth of field rather than one big score, which favours countries sending large recreational contingents over those relying on a handful of pros.
The final slice, another $1 million, goes to the bracelet winners themselves: each of the 33 champions collects a $30,000 Super Pass Package into WSOP Paradise.
Worth chasing, or just noise?
Monthly giveaways are a fixture at GGPoker and the headline number moves around — $15 million in April, $18 million back in February. What sets August apart is that the leaderboard money overlaps a bracelet series, so the same volume counts twice: once toward a format leaderboard, once toward a country’s ranking. Anyone already grinding Rush & Cash in Asian prime time collects on both without changing a thing about their schedule. Players dipping in for a single bracelet shot will get considerably less out of it.
