Eleven days, one purpose-built room
Korea has hosted plenty of poker — Jeju has been the country’s tournament island for years — but never a World Poker Tour flag on the mainland side. INSPIRE changed that by building the room first. The YY Poker Club opened in August 2026 with more than 70 tables and is billed on the official WPT Seoul site as the largest card room in Asia, which is the kind of claim that only matters if the field sizes show up to fill it.
What that capacity buys players is practical: fewer late-registration lockouts, more Day 1 flights that actually run, and side events that fire on time instead of waiting for tables to break. Pre-registration is already open, and for a debut festival that is worth using — first-year stops in Asia have a habit of drawing bigger fields than the guarantee suggests.

The events worth building a trip around
If you are flying in for a short window rather than the full eleven days, the back half is where the value concentrates. The Championship starts 5 November and runs to a 9 November final table, which means arriving around 4 November gives you the Warm Up, at least one Mystery Bounty shot and every Championship flight.

Getting a seat for less than face value
The obvious online route is WPT Global, which runs the satellite ecosystem for World Poker Tour live stops. Incheon logistics and the one rule to check
INSPIRE sits next to Incheon International Airport, which makes it one of the easiest live stops in Asia to reach from Tokyo, Taipei, Manila or Ho Chi Minh City — you can land and be registered inside an hour, without a domestic transfer. That is a genuine advantage over Jeju, where the extra flight leg eats half a day in each direction.
The rule to verify before you book: South Korea restricts its own nationals from the country’s foreigner-only casinos, with Kangwon Land the single exception. INSPIRE’s gaming floor operates under that foreigner-only model. The WPT Seoul announcements have not spelled out how the tournament room is treated, so Korean passport holders should confirm eligibility directly with the organiser rather than assume. The date choice is deliberate. APT Jeju runs 25 September to 7 October, and the APT Championship in Taipei follows on 12 November — so WPT Seoul drops neatly into the gap, three days after Jeju’s crowd has dispersed and three days before Taipei’s begins.
