When do the WPT Prime Taiwan satellites start and end?
The WPT Prime Taiwan satellites on WPT Global started on October 18 and run until December 27, 2026, about two weeks before the Championship begins on January 7, 2027. WPT Global’s event page does not give daily start times or a time zone for each satellite. Check the tournament lobby in the WPT Global app for times in your local zone.
How do I qualify for WPT Prime Taiwan cheaply?
WPT Global offers three satellite paths to WPT Prime Taiwan. All three end at the same $110 qualifier, which awards the $1,100 Main Event tickets. Pick the path that starts at your price:
- Main path: $1.10 step → $11 satellite → $110 qualifier
- Second path: $0.55 step → $5.50 satellite → $110 qualifier
- Third path: $2.20 step → $22 satellite → $110 qualifier
From the $0.55 step, a $1,100 seat is a 2,000x return on the first buy-in, so the cheapest path suits micro-stakes players. Players who already hold a Passport Dollars (PP$) balance can also use it to enter the WPT Prime Taiwan satellite, according to WPT Global.
What is the WPT Prime Taiwan Black Card?
The WPT Prime Taiwan Black Card is a set of extras for players who win their $1,100 Main Event seat online at WPT Global. You become eligible after completing on-site registration in Taiwan. To unlock the benefits, you must wear the WPT Global logo patch WPT Global provides throughout the tournament:
- Bubble protection: if you bust one place before the money, WPT Global refunds your Main Event buy-in.
- Top 18 iPhone reward: online qualifiers who finish in the top 18 receive a new iPhone.
- Last-longer competition: the three qualifiers who last longest share $10,000, $5,000 and $2,500.
WPT Global’s page does not say whether the ticket covers travel or hotels. Assume it is the tournament buy-in only and budget for the trip yourself.
