GGPoker self-exclusion locks you out of your account for a period you choose: 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, 30, 60, 120 or 180 days, 1 year, 5 years, or permanently. GGPoker’s Responsible Gaming page (checked October 2026) says that once it is set, “self-exclusion cannot be reversed under any circumstances”. Choose the length with that in mind. A short break and a permanent exit are both on the same menu.

This guide covers how the tool works on GGPoker and Natural8, how it differs from a deposit limit or an ordinary account closure, and what happens if you try to come back early. That last part is where Asian players most often get accounts closed and balances frozen.

How do I self-exclude on GGPoker?

You can self-exclude on GGPoker from the Responsible Gaming menu in the client, or by emailing help@ggpoker.com. GGPoker says you can do it “at any time, for any period of time of your choosing”. The moment it takes effect you are logged out automatically, and you cannot log back in until the period ends.

How long can a GGPoker self-exclusion last?

GGPoker offers ten self-exclusion periods: 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, 30 days, 60 days, 120 days, 180 days, 1 year, 5 years, and a Permanent Period. Natural8, GGPoker’s Asia-facing sister site on GGNetwork, offers a shorter list on its Responsible Gaming page (checked October 2026): 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 60 days, 120 days, 180 days, or permanently.

Period GGPoker Natural8
24 hours Yes Yes
3 days Yes No
7 / 30 / 60 / 120 / 180 days Yes Yes
1 year / 5 years Yes No
Permanent Yes Yes
Reversible early? No No

Can I cancel a GGPoker self-exclusion early?

No. GGPoker and Natural8 use the same wording: self-exclusion “cannot be reversed under any circumstances”. Support will not unlock a 30-day exclusion on day 10, whatever the reason. Some regulators let a player ask to shorten an exclusion, with waiting periods. Malta’s regulator describes that process. GGPoker’s own policy simply doesn’t offer it.

So if you only want a break over a bad weekend, pick 24 hours or 3 days rather than a month.

Self-exclusion vs closing your account: what is the difference?

Self-exclusion is a responsible-gaming lock with a fixed end date (or none). A plain account closure is an ordinary customer-service request. Regulators such as the MGA treat the two separately, because a closure can usually be undone by asking support and an exclusion cannot. On GGPoker, the permanent option is the one that matters most. GGPoker says a permanently excluded player “may not open any additional GGPoker accounts”. Natural8 says the same for Natural8 accounts.

If you want to leave poker for good, use the permanent exclusion rather than just asking support to close the account. If you’re leaving for a non-gambling reason, such as moving country or switching sites, a normal closure (or a country change) is the right request.

Can I set a deposit limit instead of self-excluding?

Yes, both GGNetwork sites let you limit your play without locking the account. GGPoker says you can set your own deposit limits and “request to adjust them at any time” through support@ggpoker.com. Natural8 lets you set deposit limits in the app itself. Its page also lists a Loss Limit, Total Bet Amount Limit, Single Bet Amount Limit, Re-Login Time Limit, Monthly Login Frequency and Game Limit. WPT Global’s responsible gaming page tells players to “consider setting stricter limits or taking a break” and to contact support for help, but doesn’t publish its exclusion periods.

A deposit limit suits you if the problem is spending too much. Self-exclusion suits you if the problem is opening the app at all.

Does a GGPoker self-exclusion also block Natural8?

GGPoker’s and Natural8’s Responsible Gaming pages don’t say. Each page describes the exclusion only for its own site. What the network does say, in its Security & Ecology Policy, is that bans can be applied across “any of the GGPN sites”. It also says an account must be registered under your own credentials. If you’re excluding because poker is costing you too much, exclude on every site you hold an account on. Don’t count on one exclusion covering the rest.

What happens if I make a new account while excluded?

Making a new account while excluded is the expensive mistake. GGPoker and Natural8 both say that trying to get around an exclusion leads to closure of the account(s) and “possible forfeiture of any associated balance(s)”. A second account in a relative’s name, or one opened over a VPN from another country, is also multi-accounting under network rules. That’s a separate offence, and VPN use is banned outright. Locked accounts from this route usually look like the cases in our GGPoker account locked guide, and support won’t unlock them early.

A ban for cheating or collusion is a different thing from self-exclusion. GGPoker has run one-off appeal windows for banned players, which Pokerfuse reported in 2025. Those were for bans, not for players who excluded themselves.

GGPoker self-exclusion FAQ

How do I self-exclude from GGPoker?

Open the Responsible Gaming menu in the GGPoker client and choose a period, or email help@ggpoker.com. You are logged out immediately.

What is the shortest self-exclusion on GGPoker?

24 hours. GGPoker also offers 3 days, 7, 30, 60, 120 and 180 days, 1 year, 5 years and permanent.

Can GGPoker support lift my self-exclusion early?

No. GGPoker’s Responsible Gaming page says self-exclusion cannot be reversed under any circumstances, so the account stays locked until the period ends.

Can I open a new GGPoker account after a permanent self-exclusion?

No. GGPoker says permanently excluded players may not open additional accounts, and trying to can lead to account closure and forfeited balances.

Does Natural8 have self-exclusion too?

Yes. Natural8 offers 24 hours, 7, 30, 60, 120 and 180 days, or permanent exclusion from its Responsible Gaming menu, and it cannot be reversed either.

Is a deposit limit better than self-exclusion?

A deposit limit keeps the account open but caps what you can put in. GGPoker sets it through support@ggpoker.com, and Natural8 lets you set it in the app. Self-exclusion locks you out completely.
